7. Best Dressed

Tonight marks the first time I’ve ever watched the Oscar Awards all the way through. And that is thanks to a wonderful party thrown by wonderful friends. Tonight also marks the first time I’ve ever won anything. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, yours truly is this year’s best dressed at the Pop Culture Mayhemers Oscar Party.

But there is one more thing tonight marks, and that is the first full week since I started this birthmonth project. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day and I have to admit I’m quite scared about it. I have a feeling I haven’t lost an ounce all week, because that’s just my luck. Even with sore muscles and a hungry belly, there’s a pretty good chance I actually gained weight. We shall see.

Today was the first day of rest. And even though I felt guilty for napping and avoiding the fitness center, I’m so glad I took it easy. The grind starts again, in just six hours, and I’ll be grateful I chilled out today. But for now, I’d just like to thank the Academy and all three people who read this blog. Good night.
